Simple Ways To Organize Your Jewelry Organizer

posted on 15 January 2012

It’s no secret that jewelry tends to be some of the most expensive pieces of clothing. So when you aren’t wearing these precious pieces, they should be stored with care, and not just casually tossed into some box. Admit it, most of us do keep a jewelry organizer, but how many of us really keep it organized and neat? If your organizer is beginning to look like it’s anything but organized, here are a few ways you can bring the order back to your jewelry collection! For one, try to group your pieces by kind. Put all your earrings together, all your rings, together, etc. Try to make it so that all your necklaces are dangling, instead of clumped together in one pile. This way, you can prevent them from entangling. If you’re feeling extra organized, you can group them by look! Match a pair of earrings with one bracelet and/or necklace. This way, you can easily pick out the sets of jewelry that go together, instead of having to look through all your pieces.

Handmade Jewellery: My Favourite Fashion Item

posted on 8 January 2012

Before I begin I have to say I love almost any fashion items. But among different kind of clothes, bags, fashionable shoes I love the most - jewellery. I always had and I always will. I don't know why exactlly but I just love that thiny little things. If anybody would look into my closet it would say I am jewellery freak. I had it all - different sizes and shapes of earrings, shawls, necklaces, bracelets, belts etc. And my jewellery isn't just in different sizes and shapes also different kind of materials - leather, plstic, wool etc. In past it wasn't really important for me if jewellery handmade or not. But nowadays situation it's quite different - I prefer uniqe jewellery over massively produced pices. Most probably because I am now making my own unique jewellary and therefore I want only that kind of pices. Not just unique characteristic, also sustainable-production it's important for me. The material should be from local areas to reduce environmental impact. In future I hope I will have my own jewellery store where unique jewellery with low environmental impact will be sold.

Wedges Are My Absolute Favorite Type of Shoe

posted on 17 December 2011

From hair claws to shoes, fashion is a big part of my life, and I'd like to talk more about those accessories we wear on our feet. I love shoes. I spend more on shoes than any other clothing item. I would rather spend lots of money on shoes. They are more exciting as there is a huge array to choose from. I often find myself buying a pair each weekend. I normally may wear them once or twice. some of them are very uncomfortable and couldn't bare to wear them again. I sometimes don't try them on before buying which is a big mistake. I recently bought some Guess white wedges. Wedges are great as they practically go with any outfit. I normally wear mine with a short skirt in the evening if I am going to a bar or club. I have lots of wedges however I really like these white ones. I tend to wear a lot of white shoes. It is a great color as it goes with denim. I hope I get some more wedges for Christmas.

Gift Giving: A Gift for a Little Princess

posted on 1 December 2011

A baby girl is a dream for many. They can be decked up in so many nice things and importantly, they learn to appreciate gift giving at a very early age. Personally, I would first cut off soft toys from the list. The kids anyway end up with quite a lot of them from different people and you don't want to be one among many. A unique idea for a girl child between 2-3yrs would be a nice dress up set. Believe me, they love to dress up! A set of puzzles with animals (they can do up to 4 pieces easily). Or, you can also consider a musical book. All these if you have a small budget. If you are looking for more expensive ones, go in for a mini kitchen, mini shop, mini work bench (yes, girls like it too!), rocking animals or even a trampoline. A friend of mine even makes bespoke jewellery from her jewellery making supplies - something unique. Finally, please think about it before you buy anything very noisy. It annoys not just the parents, sometimes the neighbours too!

The Most Comfortable Pair of Shoes You Will Ever Own

posted on 28 November 2011

My very favorite cheap shoes are a pair of Clarks that I bought over a year ago in Wichita, Kansas at J.C. Penneys. They were on sale for sixty dollars, and that was the best money I have ever spent. They have leather soles and all leather uppers and slip on so comfortable. They look good too navy with accent stitching. My job keeps me on my feet all day long and I really need a good pair of shoes. These shoes fit the bill they really are comfortable, and a year later they are still in great shape. I just have to give them a little polish now and then and they look as good as new and they are as comfortable as ever. I would definitely buy another pair in a heartbeat - if I needed them! Clark shoes really are some of the best shoes out there for comfort and durability I highly recommend them.

The Comfort and Value of Sensible Shoes

posted on 22 November 2011

My favorite wardrobe item is a good shoe that compliments my style while being both comfortable and sensible in fit and support. Fashion matters also, but I tend to be more creative with jewellery, like my Gina Stewart Cox bracelets - since jewellery doesn't affect your walk! When it comes to footwear, my first priority is to find a shoe that looks right, feels great and matches the outfits that I intend to wear. A sports shoe must be well built, have lots of shock absorption and arch support. It should look like a good sneaker and look appropriate with jeans, shorts and summer beach wear. Next, there is the work shoe for the office that must look professional and feel comfortable for long hours on my feet. Once again, appearance is important and versatility as well. This shoe must be suitable for the office and after work affairs. It absolutely must look good all day and evening. Finally, the evening shoe is a favorite with its beauty and flare for evening wear. Evening shoes must be delicate, fancy, stylish and high fashion. Therefore, my night shoe is always a medium heel with lots of metatarsal padding and is wearable from the door to the cab and into the club or restaurant and then back into the cab. I can always kick them off in the cab, restaurant or club and do minimal walking in between each destination. The comfort and sensibility is part of my every consideration when buying shoes.

Fancy Dress: My One Day As Marilyn Monroe

posted on 20 November 2011

If I could go as anyone to a fancy dress up party, I would go as Marilyn Monroe - for me, that's one of the classic fancy dress costumes. Marilyn Monroe was a major 1950's sex symbol, actress, singer, model, and perfomer. Today, fifty years after her death, she is considered a major cultural icon with all ages. Some people would say the reason she is so popular even today is because of her comedic talent and pretty blonde looks. However, I like to think that she embodied a real woman in a time when Hollywood was glamorous and marked by scandal. She had her own problems having grown up in abused environment, but was strong enough in her adult life to ultimately change Hollywood and a lot of people's perspectives on love, sex, and life. She openly spoke about sexual abuse when things like that were not spoken about. She gave her time and money to numerous charities such as the USO and The March of Dimes. Not only was she fearless, she was truly beautiful inside and out. At the time she was seen as a "bombshell," but most people know she was just an amazing, intelligent woman that would have continued to inspire more woman to be happy and fearless. This is only Marilyn in a nutshell, but if I could choose anyone, I'd choose her.

Jewellery: It's Got to Be Silver for Me

posted on 24 October 2011

When it comes to ladies jewellery, firstly it's got to be silver, secondly it's probably going to be a necklace and thirdly it's got to be fun! Silver because it suits my cool colouring and because I love the way it looks better the more you wear it. A necklace because it is unobtrusive: rings and bracelets can catch on your clothes earrings can catch on your hair. And fun because .... Well why not? Extra long and dangly, some gorgeous stones, quirky charms, maybe a few re-purposed bits. A favourite local jewellery maker cuts abstract shapes from silver and carves into them. The carved bits are then darkened and the rest very highly polished. These make gorgeous and very tactile pendants. Another local guy sells heavyweight silver pendants which just look like pile of scrap from a silversmith's bench - flat bits, curvy bits, extruded bits and previously molten lumps all somehow joined into a beautiful pendant with a little gold battery popped in somewhere! Fabulous! !

I Have a Beautiful Handbag Collection

posted on 23 September 2011

My favorite fashion items are handbags. From a simple gold clutch bag to big satchels and shoulder bags, I love them all. I take one almost everywhere I go. I even take one to the gym with me. I have bought one big enough which can accommodate my gym clothes. I love designer brands such as Jimmy choose, Burberry, Prada, Guess just to name a few of my favorite brands. I recently bought a new bag for evenings. It is is this beautiful silver Guess bag which is fairly small in size which is ideal for bars and clubs. It makes me look a million dollars. I now have at around 100 handbags. I bought a special closet to store them in. At times I find it difficult to choose which one I should be taking out. For work I tend to take black or brown handbags as they tend to go well with my outfits. I next purchase will be a signature style Burberry handbag. This will cost a considerable amount of money but I don't mind at all. It is important that I buy it as I want to take it to Australia with me.

Bridal Lingerie Doesn't Have to Be White

posted on 13 October 2010

There is a huge misconception out there that bridal lingerie has to be white. This is exactly that a misconception. What about the women that are not getting married for the first time or the women who are not virgins when they marry? They deserve bridal lingerie just as much as the rest. And let’s face it marrying a woman that is a virgin is becoming rarer every day. So I think having bridal lingerie that is in pink, yellow or red is just as sexy and seductive as white is in this day and age. As long as the woman feels good about herself and the man is attracted to her, what is the harm in adding a little color to the bedroom? There is none that I can see. When I got married I had bright red lingerie with lace around the rear and breasts, my new husband loved it!

Don't Be A Bridezilla For Your Wedding Day

posted on 4 October 2010

Getting married with someone is the feverish dream of every girl in this world. OK, the vast majority at least. I am certainly one of them and would like to share with you my wedding day experiences. When I got engaged to my husband, I got swept away with the romance of it all - the engagement rings were bought and worn, and we then looked forward in eager anticipation to the wedding. I personally don't think much of big weddings. I'm not a "bridezilla" by any means. I really think your wedding should be kept simple, with just a handful of guests. It should actually be a solemn occasion without the drunken behaviour often witnessed at wedding receptions. So we had a small wedding with just immediate family invited. It was lovely. I cried and my husband certainly had something in his eye when he said his vows - must have been a piece of dust as his eyes were watering.
