Need some advice on what benefits can be claimed

I am unfortunately going to be finding myself unemployed very shortly and i am going to need to claim some benefits for this. I have never had to claim before as i have been working since i was 17 and never been out of work for more than a week at a time. I do not know much about the unemployment benefits england has to offer. I know a lot of people come over here and seem to claim them ok so im sure i should also be able to without much hassle. I did pop into my local jobcentre but they were not much help to be honest. They handed me some forms but its all well and good having forms to fill in but they do not answer my questions and people at the jobcentre seem to have no time for me they are always really busy, im not sure doing what to be honest though. I suppose my only option really is to fill this thing out and send it off and see what happens.
