Need to find out how to get my internet working

I have recently taken delivery of some new equipment from my broadband supplier. They have sent me a new modem and a router as my other ones were getting very old so i think they just wanted to upgrade it for me which was nice. Problem is they have not sent me any instructions! i am a bit lost because ive got these boxes and wires and do no know what to do with them?!. I assume i need to connect them up together and also to my computer somehow. I do not know how to connect modem to router though let alone how to connect it to my computer. I have looked at how it is setup now and it looks pretty simple but the layout and design is all different so i am not sure whether i will be doing it correctly. I have phoned them up and they did try their best to help me but we only got so far and then i was a bit lost and they were losing patience with me.
