A gift is a reflection of your feeling for the person you want to give it to. So the gift should always be such that the other person likes it (as obvious as that sounds). Whenever I go to buy a gift the first thing I do is to think what are the likes and dislikes of that person. If he or she is a child, I usually go for toys, especially when the child is a family member I always think about his personality. When I buy a gift for my wife, I choose jewelry, because women like it. For a close friend, I go for a watch or something that suits him. Whether or not we know about the person’s personality, many people end up confused about buying a gift when they enter a store. One thing that you should keep in mind is that the gift that you are selecting should be something special. It does not depend on price, may be the gift cost you not much or they can be out of your range. Just think about the person and buy the gift. That’s always the best idea.
When it comes to gift buying for employees or colleagues, go for something practical. As a boss, I bought my employees promotional usb drives because of their practical use.
