When you start to work with your iPod you will need a program called iTunes, this is so you can upload and download media to your iPod and create play lists for you to listen. do i need quicktime for itunes, you either have to have QuickTime or an alternative and since a lot of people doesn't like quick time there is an alternative that you can download and it will work. You can find this information on the Internet by just typing in do not need QuickTime for iTunes. They say if you uninstall QuickTime that your iTunes will come up and say you need to install QuickTime but some people doesn't like QuickTime and I am one of them. There is an alternative program that you can download that will take the place of QuickTime and your iTunes will still work fine. If you are like me and you don't like QuickTime with all the advertisements and pop-ups then you can get an alternative that will keep iTunes going for your iPod and not have to deal with all the pop-ups that keep coming up for some reason.
